Agile Development

Be involved. Every step of the way

Traditional waterfall software development practices have problems, often ending with you not getting the product you wanted. That’s why we prefer being agile.

If your developers aren’t contactable during the development cycle, and simply turn up months later showing you something you don’t recognise, then you need a change.

Fully specifying an entire system before the development has begun is a difficult, if not impossible task. Attempts to do this frequently result in a system that doesn’t work the way you want it to. It may technically meet the requirements, but that doesn’t mean it’s usable for your business. And worse, the time and effort required to make changes are huge.

Constantly visible

Agile development techniques address these problems by giving you constant visibility of the solution throughout its development. As regularly as you want, you can see a new version of the application with new features added. This means you can see how it works, and give us any feedback you may have. In fact, feedback is positively encouraged.

It’s much easier for you to understand how the finished product will work if you are introduced to each new feature as it’s developed. It’s also much quicker and easier for us to change anything that doesn’t work the way you need it to.

A definite shape

But agile doesn’t mean unplanned. At the outset the overall shape of the development will be planned, with individual features being allocated to specific milestones. With every milestone you can ensure the system is working how you imagined and, if not, problems can be addressed quickly.

Seeing the product grow gives you the confidence it will be delivered on time, as specified and, most importantly, working the way you want. It’s time to give agile a go.
