Challenge
BACF needed a reliable digital solution to replace their ageing electronic technical log (ETL) system and eliminate paper-based processes without losing critical operational benefits.

Solution
Working closely with BACF, NVable redesigned and rebuilt the ETL on the Converge platform (formerly Appixo) with a focus on:
-
usability and reliability in live flight operations
-
operational resilience in the field
-
seamless data flows between aircraft and ground systems
The new ETL was developed from the ground up and launched across the BACF fleet in May 2012.

Results
-
ETL delivered positive feedback from pilots and engineers right from early use.
-
Automated feeding of techlog data into BACF’s maintenance system OASES — a world first implementation of its kind.
-
Ongoing enhancements and upgrades, including move to Microsoft Azure with zero downtime in 2016.
-
Strong long-term partnership: BACF continues to benefit from a technology-led operational advantage.
