NVable Announces Live Operation of Converge Electronic Techlog with Enter Air

NVable is proud to announce announced that Enter Air is now using it's Converge Electronic Techlog in live operations across the airline.

The Converge Electronic Techlog, configured to Enter Air processes, was approved by the Civil Aviation in Poland for live operations from the beginning of September 2019.

“I am proud that our team is the first to introduce an electronic logbook in Poland. The Converge sytem is delivering quality data and providing view of the real time status of the fleet that wasn’t possible before. We have also automated a number of data feeds which make life simpler for internal departments and suppliers. We are looking to make more use of that capability and exploring other possibilities in the future.”, Mariusz Olechno, Technical Director of Enter Air.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Mariusz and the team at Enter Air in preparation for introducing our Converge service. I must specifically mention the dedication of Marcin Czarniecki (Chief of Technical Documentation) during the final phase of the implementation. There were several unique configuration requirements in this implementation but the flexibility of Converge was up to the task. The success is a credit to the tremendous focus and effort of Mariusz and his team working with NVable. This is another confirmation of the industry leading capability of our solution.” Cameron Hood, CEO of NVable.

Enter Air (ICAO code: ENT) is the largest Polish charter airline, and the second largest airline in the region. With 7 operational bases throughout Europe, it connects Poland with holiday destinations throughout Europe and North Africa. It has received numerous awards, proving it to be one of the best air carriers in Poland.

NVable is an independent software consultancy with customer satisfaction as the primary goal. The team has consistently delivered solutions where others have failed. In 2012 the aviation solutions were introduced with the Electronic Techlog as a key element. The team was involved in creating the first Electronic Techlog in the world and are experts in the field. Data Visualisation

NVable still get a kick out of wrangling some sense from data. Some people may think that is a more than a little masochistic, particularly given the data we have dealt with over the years. But it is suprisingly rewarding to simplify complex data into meaningful information.

A dashboard is a visual display of the most important information needed to achieve one or more objectives that has been consolidated on a single computer screen so it can be monitored at a glance. Stephen Few

I’ve quoted Stephen Few because he has, over the years, given people working with visualising data a great set of practical guidance and even developed the Bullet Graph. Eloquence through simplicity is one of the key messages. Take a look at Information Dashboard Design (ISBN 978-1938377006).

It’s quite difficult to avoid the pitfalls of throwing up a gauge, dial, pie chart etc when almost every example of a dashboard will show you that. Every component library a software developer picks up will also point in that direction. Taking the time to think through a way of meaningfully presenting information in a way that actually makes a difference to the user is not easy. And I certainly don’t think we always get it right – there is always room to learn.

However I thought I would share a link to give you a taste of one small aspect of what we are doing at the moment: Converge: Operational Standby.

NVable Announces Live Operation of Converge Electronic Techlog with CobaltAir

NVable announced today that CobaltAir Limited is now using the it’s Converge Electronic Techlog in live operations across the airline.

The Converge Electronic Techlog and integrated Damage Reporting, configured to CobaltAir processes, was approved by the Department of Civil Aviation in Cyprus for live operations from the beginning of February 2017.

“With the use of the ETL, we have substantial improvements in quality and efficiency. Through the digitalisation of the data we secure the transfer of error free readings on the current overall real time status of the aircraft, including all maintenance and crew activity. After only a short period from the start date using the ETL live, not a single employee wants to go back to the paper process.” George Vasilou, Maintenance Manager of Cobalt.

“It has been a pleasure to work with George and the team at Cobalt in preparation for introducing our Converge service. I would not be surprised if this had been the fastest successful implementation of an electronic techlog solution in the world. The success is a credit to the tremendous focus and effort of George working with the NVable team. This is another confirmation of the industry leading capability of our solution.” Cameron Hood, CEO of NVable.

Cobalt is a new Cypriot airline, flag carrier for the Republic of Cyprus with its principal place of business in Larnaca, Cyprus.  The airline launched operations in July 2016 serving a network across the UK, Ireland, Greece and Continental Europe.  Cobalt expansion plans into 2017 are to increase its fleet to 6 aircraft and its network into more cities in the UK and Europe.  Moreover, will add new destinations in the Middle East, Africa and Asia to promote Larnaca International airport as a hub.

NVable Awarded Contract from Cobalt

NVable has been awarded a contract by Cobalt to install and support it’s Converge Electronic Techlog across the airline.

Under the contract, NVable will customise the Electronic Techlog to Cobalt processes, and support the introduction and in-service operations onto the growing fleet of aircraft. As part of the service the integrated visual damage report functionality will also be introduced.

“As Cobalt’s Maintenance Manager and member of the technical team, I feel privileged to lead this project. I have always been excited and interested in new technology, and ETL (Electronic Tech Log) will definitely be a challenge and real pleasure to work with at the same time. I am looking forward to work with NVABLE developing the initial version of Cobalt’s ETL, until the final part when we go live and convert to a new digitized ETL system.” George Vasilou, Maintenance Manager of Cobalt.

“We developed Converge for Aviation to help airlines manage daily aircraft maintenance activities by making it easy to collect data, monitor the status of the fleet and intervene early if required. We feel privileged that Converge Electronic Techlog is part of Cobalt’s plan for rapid growth and we are looking forward to supporting them and playing a part of their success.” Cameron Hood, CEO of NVable.
